D.C. council considers commission devoted to city's nightlife

 

Washington, D.C. has become an entertainment town and now the city council is considering putting together a commission focusing on nightlife.

According to economic partnership figures, the number of bars and restaurants in the District soared from 800 in 2008 to 1,300 in 2016.

The increase in bars and restaurants led to a surge in the city's job growth.
